George Washington's Effect on Black Relations During the Colonial Era there is much debate concerning slavery. The north was primarily against slavery as the south was economically dependent on slavery. When colonist began to settle THE UNITED STATES they had result from England for spiritual and political freedom. After, in Virginia indentured servants had been being used by land owners.
