Jean Bernard Leon Foucault

Jean Bernard Leon Foucault was an extremely instrumental scientist in

history. Born on the 18th. of September 1819, in Paris. Foucault was

born right into a fairly wealthy relatives. As he was raised his daddy urged him

to pursue a career in drugs. Foucault agreed, and started out his medical

studies. He soon became bored, and turned his focus on

studying physics. In 1845 he started to be the scientific editor of The Journal

des De'bats. His experiments started out in the same period. In 1855 he

became the physicist at the neighborhood observatory.

Foucault, like many of the fantastic thinkers of his period, was a

specialist in multiple areas. Foucault was very enthusiastic about science

dealing with mirrors. He personally developed the gyroscope. He

pioneered a better solution to silver astronomical mirrors. He as well

developed the Foucault knife experiment to check whetted mirrors. He

was interested in the mechanics of light aswell. He created a prism to
