Compare the evidence of the Nordic presence in the Americas before the appearance of Columbus with the proof of a West African occurrence during that period.

It has been explained by historians that the Nordics and the Western Africans were in the Americas before Columbus arrived in 1492. Though data, such as common sagas, doing a trace for routes which usually it was said they took, artifacts, skeletal remains, and others, have been discovered to prove that they could have been present; you may still find debates whether or not or certainly not they actually reached the Americas before Columbus. Some believe that the evidence of the presence in the Nordics is somewhat more admissible than that of the West Africans.

The Norse (also known as the Vikings) got their particular name from the language they spoke, ‘Old Norse'. They were at first from Scandinavian countries. That believed that they came to the modern world for a number of reasons such as; the fact which it had a rich supply of salt to preserve their very own goods, they were explorers, the nation they lived in, Greenland, rapidly became over populated and they experienced a great famine in 975. Additionally it is believed that there was a political unrest between the cans in Upper Europe. There is many bits of evidence to back up the theory which the Vikings were, in fact , present in the new universe during the pre-columbian era. Some of the settements of the Vikings had been found, continue to standing, including ‘York' and ‘Dublin'. There was clearly not much written records for the Viking therefore most of all their history was passed down orally through devise, through which we all first been aware of their query into The european union and the Americas, there were two sagas which survived; these are the Greenlander's Saga and The Saga of Erik the Red. The sagas declare that the Vikings interacted and traded together with the native people who they found in the Unites states. The sagas led to the finding of some considerable evidence such as the archaeological is still found in ‘Newfoundland' and there it was discovered that there was a Viking arrangement in the area called ‘L'Anse aux Meadows', in this town historians discovered that the Vikings did travel around further southern region into the Americas and explored the land they chatted of within their sagas, Vinland. When they ventured further down into Vinland historians discovered butternut wood and butternuts, which were not indigenous to the place so it is presumed that the Vikings brought that there via further to the south (lands adjacent the Gulf of St Lawrence). Various other artifacts just like architectural structures, woodworking things, boat pointe and personal things were found in the region, which usually historians went out with back to regarding AD one thousand with the use of scientific method. An additional hard item of evidence seen in ‘Vinland' was obviously a Norse gold coin which was located off the coast of Maine and was dated to between AD1065-1080 which suggests that there was interaction of these persons and the indigenous peoples. This kind of gave historians physical facts that coincided with the oral sagas. All this evidence pre-dates European entrance by around 500 years. It is also assumed that the Western world Africans arrived at the New Universe centuries prior to arrival of Columbus. Ivan Van Sertima is one of several who argue that West Africans made exposure to the new World before Columbus. According to Sertima the Africans journeyed from the Photography equipment coast from the north towards the west and crossed the Atlantic. In line with the famous Egypt Scholar, Ibn Fadi Al-Umari, in 1342, there were two large trips across the Atlantic Ocean, ahead of Columbus' trip, both of these voyages were started by one man, Mansa (king) Abubakari II. Back in 1311, Abubakari abdicated his thrown to Mansa Musa. Not a son of his son in fact his brother. This individual (Abubakari) prepared 1000 of his delivers with the very best men, sorcerers, physicians, sailors and navigators. Every ship had source ship placed on it. The number of ships totalled 2000. The other a thousand ships had been loaded with food products, drugs, fruits and...
