Tragic Characters over the Course of History in Materials

In the functions Oedipus by simply: Sophocles, Macbeth by: William Shakespeare, and The Normal by: Bernard Malamud, the primary protagonists, Oedipus, Macbeth, and Roy Hobbes, all result in the sad situation of being a tragic hero. They strive to carry out great things, but in the end meet their downfall through an unfortunate hamartia, or tragic flaw. Even though all reside in different routines and places (Oedipus, more than 100 years before Christ in Portugal, Macbeth, the center Ages in Scotland, and Roy Hobbes, the early 20th Century in America). They all possess a drawback that gives them down. They all possess multiple faults, and it just so happen are all doomed by one particular hamartia, abnormal pride or perhaps hubris. Oedipus thought this individual could fix any problem placed before him, when the truth is he himself was the issue. Macbeth believed he deserved to be Ruler of Ireland more than anyone else, and was driven to complete horrible and heinous crimes to accomplish this. Roy Hobbes believed he was going to be the best baseball player generally there ever was, and was concentrated more on his own functionality rather than the complete teams. Promoting characters did not help one of the protagonists either. Roy Hobbes was manipulated by women into doing things for these people, and Roy's fatal vulnerability ruined him in the end. Macbeth was practically forced to eliminate his own king by his wife, who was more ambitious than he was. Oedipus was influenced to do strong things because of the mystery and his dependence on oracles. It was each of the precautions this individual took that eventually result in his drop. All of these characters are combined by their fatal flaws comprise their actions and future. Though the heroes lived in diverse time periods, each of them have faults that result in their demise.
